WebsiteDesign & Development

falter in resolute Personal Project

Tasks: Concept, Writing, Animation, Development With a love of writing and philosophical ideas, I combine this with my animation skills to create a blog of small explorations.

The layout of the landing page is designed to imply that the philosophical explorations are only small ideas within larger exploration - Small ideas can be contradictory to each other, as the site is about the journey more so than any individual post.

Feature images are all shown equally with subtle secondary text hinting at what each is about.

Each post features a key animation and expands to reveal further discussion and additional supporting imagery.

Currently, the solution is built on with a custom made theme on tumblr and animated GIFs, however, I am currently designing and building a solution based on WordPress that will use vector based Lottie animations and will implement a more adventurous layout designed for interactivity on touchscreens. It will be built as a robust progressive web app focussed on improvements to accessibility as well maintainability.

Below are some of my lo-fi wireframe sketches. I generally use with OneNote or Concepts on iOS for this. These wireframes are drawn in Concepts.

The posts on the site are developed in sets of approximately 15 post, however, their posting is spread out to give consistent updating (Though this consistency is yet to be realised due to other time commitments in the last year). The colour scheme used within each set is kept consistent so that when scrolling through the site (or the accompanying instagram page), a sense of time and transition is seen across the colour schemes of differing sets.
